Think Pet Shop Boys, except with two beautiful women in their place. Former Pussycat Doll, Carmit Barchar and Producer/Songwriter Sammy Jay have come together to create the dynamic duo that goes by the name of LadyStation.
Carmit is best known as one of the original members of the multi-platinum, Grammy nominated, recording group The Pussycat Dolls and has since made her mark as a dancer for artists such as Janet Jackson, Beyonce, Gwen Stefani and Ricky Martin. The multi-talented Sammy Jay has worked her way up in the world of music, starting as a student at the Brit School of Performing Arts to collaborating with platinum selling record producer Raphael Saadiq as a vocal producer and arranger for Rod Stewart and Joss Stone.
LadyStation stands for strength, independence and the women that can rock it. As businesswomen and performers, Carmit and Sammy Jay are ready to partner these elements and bring them into the spotlight as a force to be reckoned with. With Carmit on the frontline as MC/Vocalist and Sammy as DJ/Producer and vocals, LadyStation creates a style all of their own, fusing new wave and electro pop to create dance floor ready tracks.
